The Air Jordan 5 “Fresh Prince” is a special edition of the iconic “Grape” colorway that was created to celebrate Will Smith’s 50th birthday in 2018. Smith’s character on the beloved television show &#8220The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air&#8221 famously wore the Air Jordan 5 in early episodes without shoelaces. As a reference to that style these Jordan 5s are designed to be worn without shoelaces and are constructed without lace eyelets. Other &#8220Fresh Prince&#8221 details include “West Philadelphia” embossed onto each tongue OG Nike Air branding on each heel and graphic insoles that have “Air Jordan” printed on them in a Fresh Prince-style graffiti font. The Air Jordan 5 “Fresh Prince” released in limited quantities in September 2018.
